Hallucination

He knows that he is trying his best. He can paint and he knows that he can answer oral questions.
Then why are his grades very poor. He keeps on failing his tests. This is his 2nd year as grade 3 student. Whats wrong with him then?
When asked, he answered saying,"I keep seeing things that are not real, the alphabets are confusing me, the all look like sea bodies, the numbers 0-9 are like the planets. I don't just know whats up with all these".
Everybody is complaining about this boy, all they teachers gave him different names like; lazy, stupid, dumb, foolish, etc.
But can it be that this boy is hallucinating?
